This July, Professor Lloyd Peck from the British Antarctic Survey will be joining us in Pateley to share stories from over 30 years working in Antarctica.
Lloyd studies how animals survive in some of the harshest environments on Earth and has completed 20 field visits to Antarctica with his team of polar biologists. He was also elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 2024, one of the highest honours in science.
The evening will be a relaxed and fascinating talk about exploration, science, wildlife and life in the coldest, driest and windiest place on Earth. It should be a really special evening and one not to miss if you’ve ever been fascinated by the polar world.
