Open Studios & Artisan Market:

Christmas 2026 Application Form

Our Open Studios & Artisan Market is back for Christmas 2026, and we’d love for you to join us!

Please complete this application form in full to apply for this years Christmas Market.

Deadline for applications: 20th September 2026

Our application process looks a little different this year! We have been delighted to see the support and excitement around these events grow over the last three years, and to simplify the application process are now managing applications through this webpage.

Applications for the Market are now open, and will close on the 20th September 2026. Applications after this date will not be accepted. We will then review all applications and inform successful applicants by the 4th October.

Due to the limitations of our venue, we may not be able to accommodate all applicants, but aim to select a variety of work and mediums, that represents the diverse creative talent we have in Nidderdale and North Yorkshire.

Please note that indoor spaces are extremely limited and strictly reserved for artists and makers. No food, drink, or plant vendors will be allocated an indoor space. If you are a maker and open to showing outdoors, please make this clear on the form as it significantly increases your chances of successful application due to the limited indoor space on offer.

Please complete the booking form, including images of your work (please note the form will not submit without this information!)

If you have any questions, please contact Rosie at pateleymakersyard@gmail.com

Pateley Makers Yard is committed to inclusion and diversity and particularly encourages applications from artists whose backgrounds and experiences are underrepresented in the visual arts, contemporary craft and design sectors.

  • Trading Hours:

    • Friday 4th December: 16:00 - 20:00

    • Saturday 5th December: 10:00-17:00

  • Location:

    • Pateley Makers Yard, King Street Workshops, King Street, Pateley Bridge, HG3 5LE

  • Objective:

    •  To engage the wider Nidderdale community in the arts, providing local artists and designer-makers with a platform to sell their work.

    • To raise awareness of Pateley Makers Yard and highlight the Yard as a destination for both tourists and the local community.

    • To raise funds to support Pateley Makers Yard CIC, enabling more free community workshops, events, and paid workshops.

  • Stallholders participation:

    • We are inviting stallholders from a range of disciplines (fine art, design, craft, food, beverage) to participate in the Christmas Market alongside our resident makers who will show in their studios.

    • We have 13 indoor spaces available inside studios. These spaces are reserved exclusively for artists and crafts people. All food and beverage stalls must be outside.

    • Outside stallholders must bring their own gazebos.

    • All gazebos/shelters must be weighted down and checked by our safety team before the start of the event

    • Stallholders must have public liability insurance with minimum £2million cover. This must be provided with the booking form in order to secure a place at the market

    • We have a limited number of tables available to be used, so if you are able to provide your own table it would be greatly appreciated (please indicate this on the form below)

  • Fees:

    • There is no fee to participate in the market. Our goal is to involve artists and makers in the Makers Yard, form connections, and offer a platform for stallholders to sell to the Nidderdale community. However, we ask that if stallholders feel the event is a success, they would consider making a donation to the Makers Yard. All funds raised go back to holding events to engage the community in the arts
