Join ceramicist Claire Taylor of Klei Collective for a fun and hands on mug building workshop at Number 6 Studio Gallery, Pateley Makers Yard. In this workshop, you’ll learn fundamental hand building and decoration techniques which you will use to design and craft a beautiful, unique ceramic mug.
Claire offers clear, supportive guidance as you explore working with clay, whether you’re a first time potter or seasoned ceramicist. Under Claire’s tutorage, you’ll discover how to use pinch potting techniques, shape and join clay, and select decorative glazes.
You'll finish the class with new skills, newfound confidence, and a unique ceramic mug to proudly use at home. This class is great for beginners or those looking for a new creative outlet, designed for anyone wanting to try ceramics in a friendly and welcoming environment.
No prior experience is necessary - just bring your creativity and enthusiasm!
Please note that due to nature of ceramics your mug will be taken away for firing at the end of the class, to be collected from the Makers Yard at a later date.
