Swifts & Swallows in Coloured Pencil - Workshop with Rachel Grace

  • Unit 6 King Street Workshops Harrogate, England, HG3 5LE United Kingdom (map)

Join Rachel Grace at Pateley Maker’s Yard for a relaxing morning drawing some beautiful Swifts & Swallows!

In this relaxed half-day workshop, you will be guided step by step through the process of drawing using coloured pencils on hot press paper.

Beginning with a short introduction and demonstration, Rachel will show you how to build up your drawing from initial sketch through to creating feather details and layering vibrant colours.

You will then work at your own pace to create your own duck drawings, with plenty of individual guidance throughout. The focus is on enjoying the process as much as the finished piece — taking time to slow down, observe, and gain confidence with coloured pencils. Each stage of the drawing process will be clearly explained and demonstrated, allowing you to build your artwork step by step at a comfortable pace. The session is designed to be welcoming and accessible, making it suitable for complete beginners as well as those with some previous drawing experience who would like to develop their coloured pencil skills.
